The collaboration between the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia and the Department of Environment and Urban Quality has permitted the organization of the first Festival ecological micro-short 'The Firefly Cast. "
This initiative aims to produce and distribute micro-looking short environmental awareness.
The participants, aged 16, will have to record a short film of three minutes maximum, and upload it to Youtube, then sending the video link to festival@ucam.edu, before 14 May.
Furthermore, it must include the principle of publishing the official logo of the festival, which can be downloaded from the web festival.ucam.edu
The videos that receive more visits and positive comments on YouTube will be selected for finals.
In the last phase, the jury will select winners based on the quality of the productions and their ability to convey an original message of respect for the environment.
The winning entries will be unveiled during the celebration of the awards gala "The Firefly cast" on May 27 in San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia.
The jury will be chaired by film producer Jan Garcia, whose past projects have been Cell 211, Agora and Spanish Movie, and composed by the Dean of School of Communication, Pablo Blesa, the council of Environment and Urban Quality, Adela Martinez-Cache , the Director of Communication UCAM, Jose Luis Mendoza Garcia, and the media director of the UCAM, Samuel Mendoza Garcia
The first prize will also receive the award Firefly, a thousand euros, the second, the prize and 500 euros and the third prize and 250 euros.
