This would have made it known today as both Speaker Councilman José Manuel Abellán President and CEO of Lat Bus, José Luis Sánchez and Ángel Jiménez, respectively, during the meeting held at the request of the Socialist group which last week also had a meeting with company employees.
The officers of the company have shown a willingness to avoid the strike that workers want to start on 6 May, but have acknowledged a problem of liquidity problems mainly due to EUR 2.66 million debt that Murcia City Council has with the Lat Bus
In this regard have already Abellán Alarcón explained that the services that once provided the Consistory and by which it owes this amount is for the implementation of the owl bus (2005/2008), as well as the extension of lines 27 , 30, 31 and 32 which was commissioned by Sánchez Carrillo in the spring of 2007, just before the municipal elections held that year.
