Murcia could host the next international handball tournament in Spain to be held in January.
This was announced this morning by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, and the Spanish Federation President, Juan de Dios Román, whom he has interviewed for upwards of an hour.
As Roman explained, will be an especially emotional event because it has been 10 years since the death of Domingo Barcenas, player and coach, as well as president of the Spanish Federation, which gives its name to the competition.
House has indicated it will be a great opportunity to Murcia start 2011 with a tournament of its kind, and provides an important date in the sporting calendar, will also serve to give new impetus to the practice of handball in the municipality.
