Murcia Local Police already have prepared the special safety and traffic for Easter in Murcia and in both districts.
This will give response to the 164 scheduled events, providing the necessary conditions so that all may develop within normal levels of security and normalcy.
The key tasks to be carried out from local police will be:
Narrow and close to traffic on different routes, signaling certain areas if necessary.
Regulate the traffic in the vicinity of the routes, thus facilitating the movement of public road users affected.
Protect public safety in general.
The special safety and traffic covers the whole municipality of Murcia.
In the urban area will be handled a total of 44 acts processions, for which it will take a total of 495 troops.
The various processions that are held in the city will be answered by a panel appointed for that purpose, consisting of a command and 15 officers, who will have the support necessary at specific times from the regular service.
In the case of districts, a total of 120 events held processions through April 4, which require the participation of a total of 357 troops.
As the Fire Department during the development of the processions, there's a catch (consisting of a fire engine vehicle-urban-second output, a corporal, three firefighters and a driver) to be located strategically on the basis of the procession route :
- Good Friday: The checkpoint is located on Gran Via street corner with the Mother of God.
- Easter Saturday: Plaza Fontes.
- Palm Sunday: Gran Via, corner of Calle Madre de Dios.
- Monday: In Gran Via street corner Mother of God.
- Tuesday: Plaza Cetina.
- Wednesday: Main Street-corner of Calle Madre de Dios.
- Friday: Gran Via street corner with the Mother of God in the procession in the morning and the afternoon
- Saturday: Plaza Fontes.
- Easter Sunday: Calle Salzillo-arches of the cathedral.
The total strength of Fire who shall serve
Passion Week in Murcia is 90 effective.
Also form part of this device Civil Defence volunteers, whose work will focus on support and collaboration with local police in preventive work, citizen information, location of missing children, help the elderly, health aid (first aid), among others actions.
