The Governing Board gave its approval to the contract specifications for the construction works for the adoption of conservation measures and temporary preventive protection of the archaeological site of the garden of San Esteban, in which 552,172 euros will be invested.
Thus, the contractor will have to make as a first step, a study of graphic documentation, with drawings and photographs of archaeological remains.
Once created, this study will proceed to the conservation cleaning of all surfaces and structures to apply herbicides after the whole area to prevent the proliferation of the treatment plants after temporary storage.
You will strengthen preventive structures with lime mortar, a material that helps protect archaeological sites optimally.
It will also carry out the maintenance of pavements recerca lime mortar restoration to preserve the edges of the pavement.
Also be preserved with a layer of geotextile to separate the archaeological layers of gravel that protects the entire site and will be of different particle sizes and different levels depending on the area being treated.
Finally, we placed landmarks to signal the most important structures and major roads.
The project implementation period is three months.
This case is of urgent processing in order to protect the site as soon as possible, so that companies may be natural thirteen days to submit their bids after the publication of the specification in the BORM.
