The spokesman for the PSOE, José María Alarcón, defend a motion on the floor of this month asking the City Council to join the national and international recognition of the poet Miguel Hernández and the name adopted son of the city of Murcia the year is 100 years of birth
"It seems illogical that the Consistory Murcia do not join these events and celebrations and make no gesture in memory of the great writer who lived and died so close to us and our lands, which he no doubt loved," says Alarcón .
In this regard, the Socialist spokesman propose the appointment of the poet as the adopted son of Murcia, for which purpose the city of Murcia will start the nomination dossier for appointing a teacher and secretary to carry the entire procedure.
Besides the undeniable value of their literary figure, Alarcón shall refer to its special link with Murcia, very well known and visited by the poet he so assiduously.
In fact it was in our city where in 1933 he published his first book "Expert of Moon", published by Editions Southeast Murcia, in addition to being frequent contributor to literary newspaper La Verdad, whose pages saw the light a lot of his poems youth.
