The Councillor for Social Welfare Policy and Equality, María del Carmen Pelegrin, has participated in the Eurocities Forum held in Murcia with a paper entitled 'The social policies of the City of Murcia targeting the most disadvantaged. "
It has exposed the key data of the municipality, projects and actions that are performed on the inclusion and development strategies and existing policies from the local context.
Also took the opportunity to announce the creation of 'Local Plan for Social Inclusion in the Municipality of Murcia' election commitment of the Municipal People, which will improve the effectiveness of actions and strengthen protocols and formal agreements of cooperation and coordination between different areas involved in the processes of social inclusion of Murcia.
Thus, this plan will become a strategic element to eradicate social exclusion, providing maximum synchronization between the different areas of social protection and providing people with care from a holistic perspective.
The aim is to establish a program of actions in different areas involving resources and services and grouped in different axes.
Likewise, the mayor has listed the actions that have been made directly to the neediest people and made mention of the two urban projects carried out in the municipality: the Barriomar zone that took place between 1997 and 2000 and which is currently running in the neighborhood Esìnardo dle Holy Spirit.
