The Department of Sports City of Murcia, headed by Miguel Cascales, working with various sports clubs to encourage the practice of male and female indoor soccer and volleyball in the municipality.

The Department subsidizes Volleyball Club Deportivo Murcia with the aim of promoting men's volleyball practice and achieve the consolidation of the first team in the Superliga Men's Club, top class men's national volleyball.

The investment is 80,000 euros.

Also, Sports Club also collaborates with the Women's Futsal UCAM Murcia, to contribute to the maintenance of such equipment in the competitions of the League of National Honor Division Women's Futsal.

This club has teams participating in national competitions federated.

The grant awarded to the Sports Club is 53,000 euros.

These two teams are committed to working with the City on the activities of School Age Sports, with exhibits, workshops and conferences, and bear the name of 'Murcia' on the official team name and logo of City Hall.

The Department also awarded a grant of EUR 73,800 Aljucer Futsal Club, with the aim of contributing to the maintenance of the first team in the competition of the Silver Division of the National Indoor Football League, and to promote youth participation in competitions Federated different categories.
