The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, today presided over the official reception that the City offers each year to candidates for Reina de la Huerta.
Starting today, the candidates will play a comprehensive calendar of events until the election of the new queens and subsequent coronation.
On the night of Saturday 13 will know the name of the chosen, who will star in the act of exaltation orchard to be held on 3 April.
The reception began at the gates of City Hall, at the roundabout, where the Mayor has waited the arrival of the procession formed by the 27 candidates and 33 older children.
Together, they have accessed the Plenary Hall, which entered the Queen Child 2009, Carmen Perez, an arm of the council of Festivals and Popular Culture, Rafael Gomez, and the Federation president, Antonio Avilés.
Behind them, have entered the room, the Mayor of Murcia and the Reina de la Huerta 2009, Isabel Martínez.
Individually, each candidate has received a badge with the arms of City Hall.
Then, we have addressed a few words the president of the Federation and the Mayor.
The ceremony has ended after hearing the Ode to Murcia and exchange of gifts.
By the council, the candidates have received a game huertano snap, while the Federation of Peñas has delivered them a stuffed animal.
