The Student Council of the University of Murcia (Ceumar) has shown its support to this institution to implement the teachings of the Magisterium in Cartagena in collaboration with ISEN.
In a resolution adopted by the student representative body, criticized the attitude of the Ministry of Universities to withdraw from the agenda of the Inter-University Council on this point implementation.
Council members say they do not "understand" the attitude of the community, "since there is a strong demand for these securities of Education and the proposal had the support of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and the single opposition from the Catholic University ".
"So, they say, is being denied to the University of Murcia, which could work in public service and thereby limiting its legitimate sphere of action, to which we must add the damage directly caused to themselves Cartagena students, which could have a public protection center for studies of teaching ".
The agreement of the Council concludes that "we recognize the right of private universities to make their educational, always with strict respect for the law, but we believe that in a welfare state social demands for essential services must be met by public entities."
