The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, today inaugurated the 'Asambleaje Day' and the project 'All Age City', included in the Workshop for Social Innovation and the Development of Sustainable Architectural Products and Services, led by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the Centre of Design and Architecture in the Region (OBS).
This initiative, Martinez said, is "an innovative and needed to turn our cities into cities for all and we want our region is, in this sense a pilot region for the development of this project."
Martinez, who was accompanied by the architect Juan Antonio Sánchez Morales, said: "'All Age City' is a workshop aimed at making inter-city Murcia, where the elderly will become a perfectly integrated.
The idea is to propose alternatives for the elderly can be integrated in a city that considers equally to all citizens on equal terms. "
The director general noted that "this is a project that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism can not be alone and therefore we have intended, this meeting, to provide information to all those stakeholders involved in project development mainly institutional players. "
Regarding the development of projects, Martinez said he is very advanced and have already developed a number of fundamental principles.
"Right now we are doing work for one side of public communication and other communication addressed to experts and technicians to enable us to determine how they might develop each of these principles and objectives."
