The Deputy Mayor of Education and Personal, Pilar Megía, participated yesterday in commemoration of the 40-year history of IES Marqués de los Vélez of the hamlet of El Palmar, which was held at the Teatro Bernal.

The center started its journey in 1965 as a delegate of the Institute section Alfonso X El Sabio de Murcia, but it took few years for this center began operating as an institute of secondary education autonomously.
Over the years, hundreds of children have passed through the classrooms of the center.
