Radio Taxi Murcia has obtained recognition of Tourist Quality Commitment, which certifies that the cooperative has implemented a quality system focused on customer satisfaction, tourists and service improvement.
This recognition is awarded by the Ministry of Tourism and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
The establishments that have received this distinction have been part of the Quality System Spanish Tourist Destinations (SICTED), developed by the Crossroads Tourist Consortium, which is part of the Department of Tourism and Convention Hall and the Community of Murcia Autonomous.
Radio has received the distinction Taxi Tourist Quality Commitment after going through a process of evaluation and implementation of best practices.
The aim of this free program is that Murcia enhance its image as a destination for quality and that facilities and services, while not strictly tourist, aware that they are an important part of tourist visits that take place in the city.
This project was launched in September 2006.
In the early days of this year many of the taxi industry professionals have joined the project to improve the quality of its services and be able to get the badge over 2010.
More than one hundred establishments in the county already have this distinctive Tourist Quality Commitment, among which are: Travel, car rental, museums and performance venues, the Murcia Convention Bureau, tourist guides, hotels, professional organizers Congress, the Hispanic Institute of Murcia, the Auditorium and Congress Center Victor Villegas, restaurants, taxis and tourist transport.
The establishments that adhere to this project must go through several phases.
The first is the presentation of the project facilities after signing a protocol of accession and the self-assessment is made of the establishment.
Self-evaluation allows for an initial diagnosis in areas such as personnel, training, management, customers, suppliers, facilities, cleanliness, information, marketing, environmental management, etc.
and also identify those aspects that can be improved as set out in the Manual of Good Practice.
Subsequently, all members of the establishment are trained in quality tools, self assessment, improvement planning system, etc.
Each company creates its own manual of good practice which includes everything from the cleanliness to environmental management and customer service, then a technician, which is the City of Murcia, evaluates the project.
If the facility passes all phases gets its distinction.
In addition, the Department of Tourism provides assistance at all times to assist establishments and services.
