The management of family businesses is the focus of the work that has been edited by the Chair at the University of Murcia, which was created specifically for the analysis of them and headed by former president Juan Monreal.
The volume, involving professors from the University of Murcia and Cartagena Polytechnic and has been submitted to the Faculty of Economics and Business deals with issues such as the relevance of family business, the history of it, the legal and business culture and the family business.
The book is prefaced by the Minister for Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marin, who said the same thing as "the family business has enormous competitive strength derived from unity among family members and their high level of commitment to business project leaders. "
The presentation ceremony was presided by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, who highlighted the thrust of the Chair and the "enormous effort" made since its launch.
Cobacho noted also that the University is teaching and research and also serves society, engaging in their needs and trying to offer solutions to them.
Among those attending the presentation was the director of the Instituto de Fomento Region de Murcia, Juan José Beltrán, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Pilar Montaner, among others.
