PSOE Councilman Alfonso Navarro claims that the modification of the concession contract for the construction and management of recreational park approved in December 2009 included a disproportionate increase in ticket prices to which we must add the fee to be charged by the contractor , amounting to 2,750,000 per year for 35 years

Navarro explained that the disproportionate increase in ticket prices between 50 and 71% in the zoo and between 14 and 41% in the water park

The Socialist councilor Alfonso Navarro claims that the increases in ticket prices to enter Terra Natura are unconscionable.

So a family with two children in infancy will pay to spend a day visiting the zoo and water park to the tune of 108 euros, besides food, refreshments, parking and lockers.

The rates approved in the wake of the concession contract modification increases which represent between 50 and 71% in the zoo, and between 14 and 41% in the water park, when compared with those prevailing in 2007, year that opened Terra Natura.

To cite some examples, an adult must pay 16 euros to get into the zoo and another 16 to access the water park, used to pay 10 for the first and 12.5 per second.

For its part, the smaller will now have to pay 12 euros to visit each of the two parks, before 8 euros.

In this sense, Navarro explains that the initial procurement contract specified that the rates set could only experience the annual CPI increase, a fact that clearly, denouncing the mayor of the PSOE, is violated in the approval of rates new contract.

Exclusive benefit of the company

Remember that with the modification of the original contract, the company also will set their income 2,750,000 per year for 35 years, representing a total of 130 million euros paid by the City of Murcia.
