The Department of Social Welfare, which runs María del Carmen Pelegrin, has selected the logo that will represent the Municipal Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men of the City of Murcia.
Among a total of 82 participants, has been unanimously elected the logo presented under the pseudonym "Iguais Parties", authored by Jorge AM Casanova, winner of the $ 500 collected in the contest.
The unanimous choice of the logo is because the choice reflects the proposed theme "Murcia equality" and spread the ideas of equality, diversity and equality between women and men is the purpose that is proposed from the Municipal Plan for Gender Equality of Opportunity .
The jury met on Monday, February 8, 2010, in Room A of the annex building to the City of Murcia.
Consisted of the Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare, Gender Equality Policies and Citizenship, M ª Carmen Pelegrin, as president of the Jury, M ª Dolores Abellon, representative of the PSOE in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, representing IU at City Hall Murcia, Jesus Francisco Sanchez-Pantoja, a professor of photography at the School of Art and Design of Murcia, Juan Mercader English, Professor of Design at the School of Art and Design of Murcia, M ª Angeles Legaz Dominguez, Agent Equality of the Municipality of Murcia, Juan Herreros Bustamante, head of Women's Section of the City of Murcia, serving as secretary of the jury and Paloma Manzano, Head of the Office of Relations with the Media of the City of Murcia.
