The gardens of the town will star in an ambitious renovation project budget is 518,000 euros and will employ 19 people.
In particular, civil works will repair and rehabilitation that will bring green areas damaged by the passage of time and frequent use of them.
Thus, the works will include rehabilitation of soft and hard floors, beds and all types of damaged infrastructure.
In particular, the work will be:
- Repair of potholes in pavement walks and squares.
- Repair of curbs.
- Repair of irrigation and drainage boxes.
- Repair of subsidence in parterres.
- Conversion of floor areas soft to hard and vice versa.
- Cleaning and repairing drainage systems.
- Repair of store-houses in gardens.
- Repair of stairs and ramps.
- Cleaning and replacement of drinking fountains in disrepair.
- Replacement and / or removal of top-basins.
- Fixing and replacement of irrigation sprinklers and drips.
- Chopped and flaking plaster walls.
Through this initiative, which is done through a collaboration agreement with the Regional Employment Service and Training, the Department of Environment and Urban Quality expects to recover components and significant areas of the gardens and adapt to new times for proper use and enjoyment of these enclaves.
The period of execution of the works will last for nine months.
