The doctoral thesis carried out by Professor of the University of Murcia Moriano Carmen Castillo has recommended the replacement of the materials most frequently used in artistic processes with safer ones.
This research on the safety of art materials and processes, especially in the print, is to ensure safe work and the preservation of the health of artists, technicians and teachers.
The new doctor, who has obtained excellent cum laude, analyzes in terms of safety, the materials used in etching and, by extension, many of which are used in the art field and suggests that the removal of are dangerous.
It also investigates the feasibility in terms of new plastic materials compared with traditional plastics and the results can be obtained from the insurance application process.
Professor Castillo Moriano part of the Department of Fine Arts, University of Murcia and his research was directed by the teacher of this institution Alfredo Cuervo and Miguel Angel Rios, Polytechnic University of Valencia, where he read the thesis.
