More than three years after signing the protocol of collaboration between the Autonomous Community of Murcia and the Ministry of Development, which was agreed to distribute the works of the sections of the highway Santomera-San Javier, the part that should carry out the Socialist Party government has not even begun.
The Municipal People's Party will raise the full City Council tomorrow a motion to encourage the immediate start of work on the stretch of the highway Santomera-Zeneta, keeping the route agreed upon by the neighbors, the City of Murcia and Autonomous Community.
The work corresponding to the Autonomous Community has complied with the terms agreed and, consequently, the San Javier-Zeneta section has been recently opened, yes, just missing the final construction of the road connecting the hamlet of Zeneta that if you have not yet made has been due to the impediments placed by the Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF), an agency under the Ministry of Development, to complete the work.
We must remember that in September 2008, the City of Murcia approved unanimously a motion demanding the accessibility of the villages of El Raal, Stables and Zeneta per slice Santomera-Zeneta.
The missed deadlines, the undue delays caused by the Ministry of Development, reports of the municipalities of Murcia and Santomera, and concerns of the residents of the districts concerning led the Municipal People's Party Group in June 2009 to file a motion, which required the Ministry of Development to immediately start work on the stretch-Zeneta Santomera.
