The investment being made by the Regional Government in improving communications and infrastructure confirms its "ongoing commitment to progress and welfare of Murcia."
This was highlighted by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, after attending the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the highway connecting the International Airport of Murcia.
The ceremony took place this morning, chaired by Mr. Ramon Luis Valcarcel, president of the Community.
According to House, "today we have further evidence that the Regional Government has fulfilled its commitments" and demonstrates the excellent collaboration between administrations.
Construction of the airport is a stimulus "vital and decisive" for the development of Murcia and placed the municipality and the region as "the highest level of communications with the rest of Spain and Europe."
Also awarded a "strategic impetus" to the municipality and, more specifically the districts of the City of Murcia.
The Mayor has also highlighted the opportunity and convenience to enable the necessary access to enough foresight to be completed and in use in "timely manner", that is, when you begin to operate the airport infrastructure.
Its beneficiaries are not only users of the airfield, but also in the districts neighboring environment.
Moreover, together with the strategic relevance of the work, the Chamber considered relevant job creation arising from the construction and later for its operation.
