The City Museum opened yesterday the exhibition "Life and Creation" consists of 29 paintings, photos, postcards, documents, manuscripts and personal belongings of Murcia Ramón Gaya, through which the visitor can understand and admire the way of understanding the life I had this great artist.
The event was attended by the Councillor for Culture and European Programmes, Fatima Barnuevo, along with the president of Cajamurcia, Carlos Egea Krauel, Pascual Garcia, manager of the Foundation Cajamurcia, Manuel Fernández Delgado, director of the Museo Ramón Gaya, and the widow of Ramón Gaya Isabel Verdejo.
This is another of the samples that are being organized to commemorate the centenary of his birth.
The City Museum will host "Life and Creation" until March, when they leave for Madrid and then to Rome, two cities closely linked to the figure of Ramon Gaya.
The exhibition is divided into five distinct stages: Training and Educational Missions Civil War, Exile in Mexico and Return to Europe and back to Spain.
In addition to paintings by the artist, you can see numerous photographs showing their various travels around the world and other personal and professional experiences of Gaya.
There are also several display cases containing objects, documents, letters, drawings and manuscripts from the artist.
