Socialist spokeswoman, Maria Jose Alarcon, who is visiting these days in Madrid International Tourism Fair, shows his discomfort that for the second consecutive year the popular Bando de la Huerta Murcia is not represented in Fitur, despite being one of the centuries-old traditional festivals in Murcia.
Thus, Alarcón mayor laments the indifference of the House before the decision of the regional government.
"It has not reacted to a situation that leaves the municipality without representation and without support for their festivals and traditions in an international tourism as Fitur."
In this sense, the PSOE spokesman claims that "not only turns its back side, but the 80 federated clubs vegetable garden and 70,000 people connected with them and working for a celebration to remember that lures outsiders and, therefore, creates jobs and wealth.
This disregard for the popular culture of our town, Alarcon stressed is compounded by the lack of support for the Federation of Peñas vegetable garden, especially given that its members are struggling to make the Bando is declared of International Tourist Interest.
"It's a double contempt for popular culture of Murcia and to all the people who work hard for these parties come forward and each year are known outside the region," concluded the spokesman of the PSOE.
