The Vice President for Research at the University of Murcia has launched a traveling exhibition that will display in the various cultural venues permanent extension of this educational institution, the experiences of Spanish researchers in the Antarctic campaign 2008/2009.
The exhibition, which coincides with the celebrations of International Year of Astronomy, the "Darwin Year" and the end of the International Polar Year, describing, with photographs and videos, the scientific activities carried out in Antarctica and lifestyle researchers-including the University of Murcia, in the campaigns on the continent.
Parallel to the spread of the characteristics that make Antarctica an ideal place for research, the exhibition will deepen the biography of Charles Darwin and the activity developed in the Beagle Channel, a key to developing his theory of evolution based on natural selection.
The exhibition is open until Jan. 23 at the Mall New Condomina, Murcia, and will call later in Torre Pacheco, Lorca, Aguilas and Moratalla.
