Murcia City Council works with the Association Columbares development project for the social integration of immigrant women at risk of social exclusion.
This is a project that aims to inform, guide and train this group in order that they can improve their social skills and receive training to find a job.
The Consistory subsidizing this project with 30,000 euros.
In addition, the City of Murcia supported the draft Manuel María Vicuña Foundation for the development of a counseling center, reception and accommodation for immigrants.
The Consistory has approved a grant of 12,000 euros to non-profit Foundation.
The Foundation project is the development of a counseling center, reception and accommodation for immigrants to facilitate integration into the labor of this group, enable the integration of young immigrants in precarious work and family and use methods of practical action values such as love, obedience, peace and nonviolence.
This project is aimed at young immigrant women in economic, family and working poor.
The center will have facilities to accommodate 15 people.
Among the activities under the project include the creation of a counseling center and career counseling, reception, accommodation, training workshop on values, tasks of cleaning and hygiene practices, cooking workshops and sewing and ironing.
