The University of Murcia and the Federation of Organizations for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and Cerebral Palsy (FEAPS Murcia) have signed a collaboration agreement for the joint execution of research projects and developing outreach programs and awareness social.
The agreement, signed in convalescence, home of the Chancellor, expected to turn the organization of training courses about various aspects of intellectual disabilities and students at the University of Murcia can make practice centers FEAPS.
FEAPS President Murcia, Pedro Arcas, said the agreement with the University, which is formalizing a relationship that already existed in practice, is aimed at improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities.
The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, referred to the smooth cooperation is maintained with FEAPS and recalled that the University of Murcia is the first of UNED in Spain after the number of students with disabilities.
Cobacho suggested that this year could organize a national conference addressing different aspects of intellectual disability.
The agreement was promoted by the Vice Chancellor of University Extension, Francisco Guillermo Diaz.
