The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, presided this morning the formation of a committee of citizen participation aimed at addressing the comprehensive reform of public transport in the municipality.
This is not an initiative asylee.
To date, the City is promoting a complete radiography of the current state of urban mobility.
The call of the committee, therefore, due to progress in municipal proposals for urban mobility, among which is the implementation of the new tramway, the development of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and the improvement project road safety and mobility through the management, control and regulation of urban traffic in the municipality.
Technical Commission
The new commission will also contribute to the work carried out by the current Bureau of mobility created by the City Council and composed of representatives of trade associations, employers, consumers, unions, public parking, taxi, bus, professional associations, government and university among others.
The Mayor explained that the first initiative is the creation of a technical committee comprising the City of Murcia.
