CEIP students Cierva Peñafiel have started the year with renovated facilities and meeting deadlines set by the city of Murcia.
The total budget for the actions amounted to 508,454.55 euros, of which 133,000 have been provided by the Ministry of Education, Training and • Employment, 100,000 euros by the Directorate General of Fine Arts and Cultural Rights and the remainder Municipality of Murcia.
The Deputy Mayor of Education and Personal, Pilar Megía, the Director General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage, Enrique Ujaldón, and the Director General of Department, María José Jiménez, this morning visited the center to see in situ the actual works have been carried out in 2009.
The center, built in 1912 and a total area of 1,434 square meters next to the Plaza de Santo Domingo, now has new tires, plus they have carried out painting, interior woodwork, metalwork inside the center, in addition to luminaries have also been changed.
The center has three children and seven units of primary school, which accommodate a total of 241 students.
