Abenarabí Avenida de Murcia, from Avenida Juan Carlos I to Juan de Borbon, will feature new lighting, which will incorporate the new LED system which will save energy by 34%.
The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has recently approved the project report to be submitted to the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010.
This project will run a total budget of 445,000 euros and will grant require the work of seven operators in the eight months of the contract.
The facilities will be carried out are: 25 double columns, with two of 126 LED lights and a total consumption of 282 watts, two columns, with 126 LED fixtures, and with a consumption of 141 watts, 64 points on sidewalk 42-LED luminaires with a consumption of 46 watts and 29 LED lights with 32 LED and a total consumption of 35 watts.
The installed capacity with the new configuration is 11,291 watts, which represents a savings of 34%, equivalent to 24,000 kilowatt hours annually.
On the other hand, in the improvement project and renovation of public lighting in the municipality of Murcia, it is noted that the procurement of works by strengthening and improving the lighting in the garden of the site's holiday Ramos has also received the approval of the Governing Board.
This action is framed within the collaboration agreement signed between the city of Murcia and Autonomous Region for a total of 82 projects during 2008 and 2009, for a total of 13.1 million euros.
