About five thousand athletes will gather in the eighth edition of the San Silvestre, who travel the main streets of downtown Murcia morning from 17:00.
The race is organized by the Association of All Drugs and the city of Murcia.
The San Silvestre Murcia has many peculiarities, is one of the few races to be held on the day of San Sivestre, December 31, is an initiative to combat drug and prizes are awarded to those groups of runners to be dressed in an original way.
In this edition there was a minute's silence in memory of the son of race organizer, Casiano Navarro, who died recently and every year participating in the test.
The travel circuit is provided twice, a total of 7,200 meters.
The race will start from the roundabout and head towards the Gran Vía, Plaza Fuensanta, Jaime I, Gutierrez Mellado, New Gate, Bishop Frutos, Ronda de Garay, Plaza of the Red Cross and Lieutenant Flomesta Avenue.
Winners will receive trophies and medals, and there will be special prizes for overall winner and best group.
All participants will receive a shirt, a bib, chip and grapes of luck.
