Catholic University has presented this morning the prizes to the winners of the IV Olympiad organized by the University Telecommunications last April, and the award for best academic career to academic year 2007/2008 and the act has been attended by the President Official College of Telecommunications Engineering (COITT), Carmelo Griñón, the president of the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, José Sebastián Velásquez, and the Director of Engineering Degree in Telecommunications Systems, Rafael Melendreras.
The Award for best academic career to academic year 2007/2008, has fallen on Jorge Alvarez, and the 2008/2009 academic year has been for Jorge Murcia.
With respect to the winners of the IV Olympiad Telecommunications, Virginia Hernandez of the Center The International Limonar, has won first prize.
The second and third prizes have fallen on Eduardo Martínez-Mediero and Ana Victoria Martinez, respectively, also students of the Limonar.
The fourth and the fifth prize have been for Rocío Avilés, Holy Family Center, and Julio Rodriguez, the IES-Fuensanta Marist La Merced.
The President of the Association of Telecommunication Engineers (COITT), Carmelo Griñón, congratulated the winners and stressed the importance of giving UCAM training its engineers.
The UCAM signed an agreement with the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
UCAM has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association of Telecommunications Engineers of the Autonomous Community of Murcia in order to establish and create a broad framework of collaboration between both parties for the development, promotion, and further increase activities, materials and projects competence and common interest within the field of Telecommunications.
Moreover, the agreement includes, among other things, collaboration in research through scholarships, grants and awards for research, convening and funding of research and development of training programs for research personnel.
The agreement was signed by the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, and the president of the Association, José Sebastián Velázquez.
