000 for international cooperation projects] | Murcia City Council fund the initiatives of 27 NGO's |
More than 476,000 euros is the amount that was approved today by the Governing Board of the City of Murcia to carry out international cooperation projects.
The Department of Development Cooperation, headed by Remigio Lopez, financed a total of 27 NGOs through public call for aid for development cooperation projects in less developed countries.
In the 2008 call were funded a total of 12 cooperation projects presented by NGOs, four of awareness and two direct action projects.
In raising awareness, the Department of Development Cooperation held next year a high profile campaign conducted in collaboration with various institutions and associations, which highlights the close collaboration with two universities in Murcia.
The objective is the youth awareness.
