The Department of Art History at the University of Murcia, directed by Professor Jesús Rivas, has urged the authorities to "initiate the process for the declaration of a Cultural (BIC) from the archaeological site of San Esteban.
The agreement departmental requests that this space is declared with the category of archaeological and at the same time, asking that the remains are kept in the same place and be protected as appropriate, to prevent spoilage.
According to historians of Art University, and BIC statement "would allow the administration to ensure the emergency measures to guarantee full protection of the remains and at the same time, would have a maximum term of three years for resolution, for which could classify, analyze and establish a master plan of the whole. "
The Department notes that the report made public today was made after a request by the chancellor of the university.
