On 27th December, we celebrate the third edition of "Bicihuerta 0.3", a cycling race solidarity that goes all the money raised from the registration of participants to the association of families of children with cancer in Murcia (ACFAMUR).

The bike course, which will start at 11 am at the door of the City of Murcia, will cover all districts of the south coast of Murcia and ends at the street from the new center over Torreagüera where you install a playground and ACFAMUR a booth, where information about the actions undertaken by this association throughout the year.

The Bicihuerta 0.3 is the stellar event that the ACD MTB & ROAD Torreagüera performed as a culmination of all acts that develops throughout the year.

This association is particularly sensitive to children with cancer Murcia, in fact, throughout the year visits to the Oncology section of the hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia, where they give talks to children by members of the association and athletes from the Region of Murcia.

The main idea of this partnership is to relate the sport and promote it through the bike, but considering that something important is solidarity, in fact proof Bicihuerta rider is a sport solidarity.

The Association also conducts a round of visits to schools in the district of Torreagüera and neighboring hamlets, with talks about cycling and awareness of children in sport solidarity.

These discussions are led by members of the association and elite cyclists honorary members of our association as Alejandro Valverde, Buendía y León, among others.

Each year the Association appoints a sponsor to honor a person who is connected with the sport of solidarity or career / institutional support is related to the underprivileged.

So far, have been the Bicihuerta godparents: the Director General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, the cyclist Alejandro Valverde and the Councillor for Youth of the City of Murcia.

This year, the event sponsor is the Deputy Mayor of the City Social Welfare of Murcia, Doña María del Carmen García Pelegrin.
