In order to enhance the strong tradition of craftsmanship and belenística the municipality and to value a building of great value in Murcia, Murcia City Council will sign a cooperation agreement with the Autonomous Region, through the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research to rehabilitate the Casa del Reloj Bacons Bridge and place in this building, the House of town Bethlehem.
The Governing Board has given approval this week cited the signing of cooperation agreement, the total amount of the performance up to a million euros.
It is noteworthy that the House of Bethlehem will be located in a district that has a strong tradition belenística.
The building of the eighteenth century, is located in a recovery ethnographic, cultural, tourist and historical Bacons Bridge in the heart of old town and near a large parking area, which will visit many stakeholders.
The Bethlehem House is subject to documentation in a grade 2, involving the protection of structure and enclosure.
Project management will be carried out by the municipal development company (URBAMUSA).
The total cost of performance will be one million euros.
Note that this rehabilitation and enhancement plan is within the City of Murcia to recover the crafts and promote the craft of the municipality.
