The Department of Youth and Employment, headed María Dolores Sánchez, tomorrow begins a series of lectures and discussions in order to analyze the current situation and trends observed in the use of Internet by young people, and especially the use of social networks.
The conference 'Youth in Social Web 2009' will be held from 14 to 17 December, at 20 pm in the City Hall Annex building.
These discussions involve young people, responsible for social networking platforms (Myspace, Fotolog, Second Life or XING) and experts and researchers of social phenomena.
All of them will present their views, developments, future prospects of these networks and critical.
This lecture series is aimed at young people and youth groups, students, social and technical education teachers and interested individuals.
The sessions are open to the public, until full capacity of the Hall of the City Hall Annex building.

-Joel Feliu i Samuel-Lajeunesse, Director of the Department of Social Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, will offer the presentation "Gender Digital Divide: joint or crack?"
-Borja Prieto, Director of content and products Myspace Spain, present the conference "Youth and Myspace."
December 15
Porlán-Isabel Gutierrez, BA in Education from the University of Murcia and member of the research group UMU Educational Technology, will speak on "Learning in social networks safely, a new challenge for young people."
-Mike Lekaroz, Director General Spain Hi-Media Group, owner of Fotolog Allopass and CEO, will provide the conference 'Youth and Fotolog. "
December 16
-Francisco Bernet, professor of Theory and Sociology of Communication at the University Complutense of Madrid, will speak on 'The Young and the sense of their interaction as social networks. "
-Luis Sotillos, Information Architect and an expert on business models and mass communications in virtual environments, Director of Novatierra will offer the presentation "Youth and Second Life."
December 17
-José Manuel Noguera, Professor of Theology and Doctor Information in Journalism from the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, will speak on 'Blogosphere, youth and other opportunities for innovation. "
-Juan Antonio Galindo Torres, director of Technology and FactoryWeb Owner, with over 1,600 SME and corporate customers across Spain, will offer the presentation "The Young and the professional network XING."
The conference is coordinated by the director of the City of Murcia Informajoven, Gabriel Navarro.
