The regional government has given the green light to an agreement between the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration, University of Murcia (UMU) and Caja Mediterráneo (CAM) for the development of a draft of interpreters of sign language in university classrooms for students with hearing impairment.
The UMU receive 35,000 euros from the Ministry, in order to ensure continuity of service for sign language interpreters during the academic year 2009/2010.
The project is equipped with a total of 47,500 euros, of which the Autonomous Community provides 35,000 euros, CAM, 7,500 and UMU, 5,000 euros.
