Socialist Councilman José Manuel Abellán recalled that the situation of public transport in the town is getting worse.
So much so, he notes that even the Ombudsman has demanded that the municipal PP again operate the bus routes of the South Coast.
After making an assessment of the budget allocated to this area, Abellán claims that in 2010 public transport will undergo one year really black.
The budget experienced a reduction of 775,000 euros and municipal PP has only 100,000 euros for new infrastructure, so unless there is the miracle of the loaves and fishes, denouncing the mayor of the PSOE will transport getting worse, more needs and less money to fix its many shortcomings.
Double cropping
This cut-informed policy-Abellán also builds up reducing the regional government has applied to the Public Transport Authority, reducing its budget of 3 million euros to 700,000.
In this sense, the PP yesterday rejected an amendment put forward by the Socialist Parliamentary Group to improve the budget for that entity.
"Now the PP in the city of Murcia is not happy with the cut that has carried out the CARM, also cut the budget of this council," criticizes Abellán.
Amendments
Therefore, the Socialist Group, given the situation where public transport is in the town, defend a set of amendments to the budget, among which include:
Creating exclusive platforms for buses on main roads into the city.
Unification of tariffs (ticket only once, and too many commercials).
Improved lines with higher frequencies and schedules.
Download the bill (we have the most expensive rates in Spain).
Reforming districts stops to be accessible.
Reinforce certain routes during peak hours.
Implement at certain locations (university, La Arrixaca, etc) hotlines.
