The first season of Opera Regional Auditorio "Victor Villegas" de Murcia, which starts on Sunday 13 December and involving different artists from Murcia, has exhausted all locations.
A total of 1,020 tickets have been sold and the rest to the seating capacity of 1,700 beds in single tickets.
The season consists of four major productions, the cycle starts with 'Tosca' by Puccini, a Scottish Opera production with stage direction by Anthony Besh.
On Wednesday, at 12:00 pm in Room 1 of the Auditorium, the main actors involved in the show and the artistic director of the cycle, Curro Carreres, keep a meeting with the media.
The cycle continues on January 30, 2009, at 20:00 pm with the performance of 'Carmen' by Bizet, with production of the Foundation Villamaría Sherry Theatre and stage direction by Francisco López.
On 20 February at 20:00 will be the turn of 'Don Pasquale "by Donizetti, with Festival Opera production of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria" Alfredo Kraus' and artistic direction Carreres Curro.
Finally, on May 9 at 19:00 pm and represent 'The Magic Flute' by Mozart, with production of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and stage director Joan Font (Comediants).
As for the artists from Murcia to participate in the cycle, are the tenor Antonio Lozano, who debuted in Valencia and has already performed at the Liceu in Barcelona, soprano Gloria Sanchez and Consuelo Garres.
To these must be added the voices of young Cristina Sanchez and Carmen Muñoz, students from the Conservatory of Murcia, and also the baritone Cartagena Emiliano Avilés based in Albacete.
Also there is participation of actors from Murcia, whose names include those of Juan Bastida (in the role of Pastia Lilas in 'Carmen') and Antonio MM (as butler in 'Don Pasquale').
In addition, in 'Tosca' by Puccini, the choirs will be paid by the Kodaly Choir, Molina de Segura, directed by José Bermejo, while in 'Carmen' by Bizet Choir will participate Murciano Caballero Fernandez, who heads Margarita Muñoz .
Other actors and actresses and dancers from Murcia will be added in the future to participate in figuration, and for which selection is made new castings and auditions will be announced properly.
