The Mayor transmitted the need to undertake a Local Finance Act providing for municipal participation in state revenues and the Autonomous Communities
Murcia Mayor and President of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, this morning has shown its satisfaction and gratitude to the President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, for convening the Council of Mayors.
As highlighted Chamber, the President wanted to hear firsthand the concerns of municipalities to be transferred to the President of Spain at a future meeting.
In addition, the call for Valcárcel is the fulfillment of a commitment to the region.
Miguel Angel House has forwarded to the Council the urgency of undertaking a Local Finance Act providing for the participation of Spanish municipalities in the state income and autonomy, under a broad consensus of the three governments.
House added that it was impossible to achieve a sustainable economy if local councils are not financially balanced before.
The Mayor has stressed the need, before the adoption of any rule that affects the economy of the municipalities, to provide itself with the economic imperative for the session may attack it.
In this regard, the Chamber considered that there should be discretionary to apply the interpretation of the rules governing economic activity and has advocated the need to harmonize the application of equal standards of criteria, not based on territories or color political rulers.
The Mayor of Murcia has noted, moreover, the need to balance water resources, without discrimination on the basis of territory or other variables.
In fact, it seems inconceivable that Murcia are who pay the most expensive water while this situation occurs, for example, electricity or fuel.
