The First Conference on Studies and Science are held the 1st and 3rd December in the Hall of the Faculty of Arts.
The conference, organized by the areas of Literature, Science and Technology Vice President for University Extension, Summit-linking include three philology and science.
The first of these "Lucretius: Poetry and Science" will be delivered by José Carlos Miranda, Department of Classical Philology at the University of Murcia, and discusses the book "De Rerum Natura" of Lucretius, a poem regarded as the great example of scientific epic, a perfect marriage between science and poetry.
Be held on December 1st at 19'15 hours.
The same day, 20 hours, Luis Roca, Department of Physics, University of Murcia, will speak on the topic: "Divide and conquer: Atomism in modern physics."
Finally, on Thursday, December 3, will run the conference "The sky of the Greeks: origin and development of Astronomy in Ancient Greece" by Esteban Calderon, professor of Classical Philology at the University of Murcia.
