The Councillor for Youth and Employment, María Dolores Sánchez, has emphasized this morning the need to improve the situation of women and ensure that equal opportunities in society to be effective.
Councilmember inaugurated this morning the 'Fourth Regional Conference on Equal Opportunities and Social Responsibility in Business' organized Creates Future, which were held in the Local Development Agency of the City.
Sanchez added that the City Council of Murcia is committed to initiatives to reconcile work and family life, as the responsibility of working at home and with children still falls mainly on women.
During the conference discussed the current situation of women in business, equality policies are in place and measures to make equal opportunities a reality.
The City has programs specifically designed for women to train them and give them access to a job.
In addition, the Department of Youth and Employment supports initiatives to women to become entrepreneurs.
Training, technical assistance, career guidance, the Local Employment Center for Women, which offers a variety of services to guide women in finding work and building a business, and Business Project Competition, financially supporting innovative ideas are some of the initiatives undertaken.
