The University of Murcia participate in a forum for the creation of a Mediterranean network of universities (20/11/2009)

The University of Murcia this weekend participating in the Sicilian city of Messina (Italy) in creating a network of universities in the Mediterranean area to strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions.

Together with the University of Messina, which is hosting the forum, will be integrated into a collaborative network of 40 universities in France, Italy, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Cyprus, Jordan, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Libya , Congo, Syria, Iran, Albania, Russia and Ukraine.

Spain will be represented, along with the educational institution Murcia, University of Cordoba.

The rector of International Relations and Communication, Maria Angeles Esteban, read a paper which will focus on the need and desirability of opening up channels of communication between universities in these countries.
