Professor Antonio Narejos, deputy director of the Conservatory of Music of Murcia will represent Spain in the Council of the Association Européenne des Conservatories, Académie de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC), an advisory body of the European Union in Music Education, which founded in 1953 and consists of 269 institutions of higher music education from 55 European countries.
Narejos Antonio, who was elected at the annual Congress for the ACS held in Maastricht (Netherlands), will share his work with the representatives of Germany, France, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Norway and Switzerland, which make up that body.
The appointment of Narejos comes at a time of great significance to the Higher Education Arts in Europe, due to the implementation of Bologna in 2010.
Furthermore, the Spanish government recently approved the new Royal decree ordering these studies in Spain and will allow full and effective incorporation into the European Higher Education Area.
