Qualification Centre Tourism (CCT) has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association for Persons with Down Syndrome Murcia (ASSIDO) to develop a set of training activities aimed at people of this group.
The first part of the agreement includes the launch of four days to complete a cycle called 'Fun Cooking', in which attendees will learn to cook and to detect sweet tastes.
The sessions are aimed at people between 16 and 23 years with Down syndrome or other intellectual disabilities who are served by the Occupational Training Center ASSIDO.
These activities will take place at the premises of the CST and will be held on 6 and 20 November and 4 and 18 December.
On the other hand, the CCT will transfer its facilities for students with Down syndrome can make them the practical module Tourist Accommodations Auxiliary Services and Catering.
In this regard, the Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, said it is "everyone's responsibility to create specific channels that disability is not an obstacle in accessing the labor market, now more demanding than ever due to the crisis."
Thus, the CCT cooperates in those actions aimed at improving integration and quality of life of vulnerable groups, either through training or support to other related entities.
