The University of Murcia has announced the completion of a feasibility study for the award of public works and operation of a residence hall, sports facilities and parking at its facilities in Zarandona, in the Barrio del Carmen.
The resolution of the Rector said that the project has been launched by the lack of student accommodation and parking are recorded in the city.
He added that the University currently has only the Colegio Mayor "Azarbe" and Espinardo campus apartments, which total 487 seats, which is considered insufficient.
The project envisages the creation of rooms and apartments for college at a figure that increased almost fifty percent of those currently available.
The new park will provide 300 seats and will be open 24 hours a day, which will decongest the area of Carmen, overwhelmed by the proximity of the railway station.
