The area between El Palmar and La Alberca, in the so-called Rambla del Puerto, will be occupied by a large metropolitan park.
The full City Council today approved an agreement that will allow this action, which will involve, from the standpoint of environmental, scenic and fun, a great advance for all the neighbors.
The new green space created will cover an area of 64,500 square meters, larger, for example, the Malecon.
In the same location is going to develop the Campus Health Sciences where he is working and the University of Murcia and is destined to become a center of activity and more social and health research in the Mediterranean.
The plan approved today by the House also provides for the construction of a residential area, located on both sides of the motorway to Cartagena, before the beginning of Puerto de la Cadena, next to the road junction of La Alberca-La Arrixaca.
The work space includes the step of the Cañada Real de Torreagüera, whose route connects the cemetery of La Alberca in El Palmar, and will be protected under the resolution adopted by the General Directorate of Natural Environment, University of Murcia and Residents Association La Alberca.
