The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, today introduced the ninth edition of the Week of Science and Technology in the Region of Murcia (Secyt) that, from 5 to 8 November, will make the Garden of El Malecon Murcia on the big stage of 20,000 square meters, 8,000 more than last year, for scientific publication, becoming the largest event of its kind in Spain.
This exhibition, organized by the Ministry through the Seneca Foundation, "continues to grow in quality and quantity and we have over 300 popular science activities of 47 institutions, will have 70 stands, five tents and six tents, a planetarium, a scientific care, a great stage for science theater and puppets, and a room for the development of plastic children's workshops, "said Marin.

Inaugural conference and the International Year of Biodiversity
The following is Secyt inaugural conference 'The architecture of biodiversity', the biologist Catalan Jordi Bascompte, Research Professor in the Biological Station and one of the leading Spanish experts in biodiversity.
