Comprehensive Center for Children and Reconciling Work and Family Life of the Department of Social Welfare, Gender Equality Policies and Citizenship, directed by Maria del Carmen Pelegrin, today issued a "Open Days" to raise awareness of the Center parents of children who attend the Program Council, the playroom and the nursery, and neighbors who want to know.
During these two hours there have been various entertainment activities, display of stilts and a tightrope, juggling balls, diabolo, Chinese sticks, mallets, ... with audience participation.
It has also taken place awards in competitions of short stories and bookmarks, and a lot of books and backpacks.
The Centre, with capacity for 200 children from 0 to 16 years of age, although there are currently 174 children enrolled, is the first equipment of its kind in the municipality of Murcia.
This is a space to allow the new family and social relationships that allow the balance of responsibilities between work and family life, according to the law 39/99 of 5 November, to promote reconciliation of work and family life of working people.
It also intends to encourage the recruitment of mothers and fathers to work.
It is a place for the care of basic needs, socio-educational and leisure, girls and children of the municipality of Murcia, which allows compatible working hours of mothers and fathers to care for their children.
The services offered by the comprehensive center are:
Nursery School: is for children from 0-3 years 8.00 hours to 20.00 hours from September to July.
Remained closed during the month of August.
Toy Library is addressed to children from 3-6 years time from 16.00 to 20.00 in term time between September and June.
Conciliation Program, which offers
the following services:
Reconcile, for children and adolescents between 6 and 16 in the afternoon, from 16.00 to 20.00 hours from September to June. Summer School, for children and adolescents between 3 and 16 , during office hours from 8.00 to 13.30 without dining, and 8.00 to 17.00 with dining area. School Easter, June, September and Christmas, for children and adolescents between 3 and 16 in time from 8.00 to 14.00 and / or from 16.00 to 20.00, non-school days in these periods. Care for children with specific disabilities, for those children who need specific attention special needs. Family Respite Service for individual days in which parents have a need to use the service, with a maximum of 4 hours a week. School of Parents, twice a month.
