The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, today announced the shows 'To paint or not to paint', with which closes the series of exhibitions of the 'Async' which, since October 2008, has sought a dialogue between past and present through the artists that have participated and the permanent collection of the Museo de Bellas Artes de Murcia (Mubam).
In the show, which opens tomorrow at 20:00 am and will remain in the Mubam until January 10, 2010, the artist suggests, according to Cruz, "an issue that is crucial at a time in which the painting seems is untimely and that the painter seems to have to be continually legitimized. "

In the exhibition, show 11 paintings in which the shades of color who lead each of the works have been drawn from the study of color pictures in each of the rooms, "said Minister of Culture of the Government of Murcia.

In the project 'Async', five contemporary artists have exhibited their work alongside that of the permanent collection of Mubam.
