The Director General for Cultural Promotion, Antonio Martínez, with the manager of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Navarro, and responsible for External Relations of El Corte Ingles, Arthur Andrew, this morning presented the series 'Family Concert' for the 2009/2010 season, aimed at family groups and children of all ages.
According to Antonio Martinez, the cycle, which reaches its seventh season, meet "the basic objective of educating the public."
The CEO explained that "musical training has other ways to go beyond education, such as dissemination and participation" and in this regard, he added that "the Symphony Orchestra puts increasing interest in making public capital increase cultural, making music a part of everyday life of young people. "
The program, consisting of a total of six concerts, involve young directors like Juan Miguel Eduardo Romero Llopis or Portal, who will lead the Symphony on 24 January and 23 May respectively.
Are accommodated young pianists and Monica Estrella Romero Salas, a regular contributor Symphony Orchestra, who will participate in 'The Carnival of the Animals', on 25 April.
The season begins Nov. 22 'The Imp of the Opera', the theater company Eusoescena.
On 24 January the company represent Theater Spell 'Pulcinella', a sitcom with music by Igor Stravinsky.
Subsequently, on February 14 will be performed 'Romeo and Juliet', where the puppets Per Poc company give life to the work of William Shakespeare with music by Sergei Prokofiev.
On 7 March, actor Jose Vicente Moirón Extremadura narrate 'The fairy tales' by Terry Jones, based on the stories of the famous Monty Python component.
On 25 April there will be 'The Carnival of the Animals', with music by Camille Saint-Saëns.
The cycle closes on 23 May, the conductor, narrator and creator of the programs 'Popular Classics' and 'great show, "Fernando Argenta, with Mozart's opera' Bastian and Bastienne."
The concerts will take place each of these Sundays, 12:00 pm in the Auditorium Victor Villegas de Murcia.
Tickets for all six concerts are priced at 36 euros and can be purchased until November 16.
The individual tickets will be available from November 17, cost 6 euros and as in previous years, entry is free for adults.
